Source: Pressrelease.id |Editor: Ignatia Maria Sri SayektiKONTAN.CO.ID - PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) or commonly called PT INTI (Persero) has recorded the production of 58,357 INTI DVBT2 Set Top Box devices, which were completed in two weeks.The production activity which took place on August 6-21 2022 is part of the fulfillment of the Analog Switch Off (ASO) project assignment from the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo)."We will increase the production figure for this INTI DVBT2 Set Top Box again due to the enormous demand, not only from Kominfo, but also from various institutions," said PT INTI (Persero) President Director Edi Witjara, Thursday (15/09).The device to streamline government programs through the Ministry of Communication and Informatics related to the migration of analog television broadcasts to digital, is currently produced with an installed capacity of around 5,000-8,000 units per day which is run in two shifts.The production capacity is a significant increase from the previous realization, which was around 630-1,000 units per day.The production realization figure as of August 21, 2022 of 58,357 units has been divided for sales channels, namely:Kominfo ASO Project: 50,000 units of Reseller and Online Sales: 8,357 units Realized sales through INTI Official Store accounts at Shopee, Tokopedia, and Marketplace https://marketplace.inti.co.id/."From the ASO project commitment of 100 thousand units, Kominfo has clicked on storefront 1 e-Catalog as many as 21,053 devices, and we are currently being deployed in the homes of the recipient communities."added Edi Witjara.A total of 21,053 Digital TV Set Top Boxes have been distributed and installed in seven sub-districts in Bogor Regency, with details as of September 14, 2022, namely:Sukamakmur Subdistrict 4,594 units Sukaraja Subdistrict 4,106 units Tajur Halang Subdistrict 1,385 units Tamansari Subdistrict 4,517 units Tanjungsari Subdistrict 2,422 units Tenjo Subdistrict 2,264 units Tenjolaja Subdistrict 1,765 units After completion of the distribution and installation process of Phase 1 INTI DVBT2 Set Top Box as many as 21,053 devices, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics also has added to the realization of the purchase of phase 2 through e-Catalog as of September 15, 2022 as many as 10,251 devices which are planned to be distributed and installed in Depok City."Hopefully, the commitment target can be completed before the end of the year," said Edi Witjara.The INTI DVBT2 Set Top Box is a digital broadcast receiver based on DVBT2 technology which is the second generation Terrestrial Digital Video Broadcasting standard and an Early Warning System (EWS) feature is added.The INTI DVBT2 Set Top Box comes as a form of support for PT INTI (Persero) as part of the national industry to support the government's program in changing analog to digital transmission or commonly called Analog Switch Off (ASO).This INTI DVBT2 Set Top Box was produced with reference to the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology Number 04 of 2019 concerning Technical Requirements for Telecommunication Equipment and/or Equipment for the Purpose of Broadcasting Television and Radio Broadcasts, as well as Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology Number 3 of 2014 concerning Technical Requirements Natural Disaster Early Warning System for Terrestrial-Second Generation Television Broadcasting Equipment and Receivers.The device, which functions to capture digital television signals against analogue televisions, has obtained Domestic Component Level Certification (TKDN) Number 195/SJ-IND.8/TKDN/2/2022 regarding the assessment of domestic content levels from Set Top Box devices.
