This, despite strong showings from Marvel’s latest Doctor Strange and Thor installments.
In fact, the new Top Gun just passed 1997’s Titanic to become the biggest grosser in Paramount’s 110-year history. There are footnotes: 1) That’s domestic only; 2) It doesn’t adjust for inflation; 3) It excludes Titanic’s 2012 rerelease; and 4) Seriously, have you seen inflation?
