Bouygues launches new 4K Android box with Salto included – Digital TV Europe

French service provider Bouygues Telecom has launched a new 4K HDR set-top box with an offer that includes the bundling of homegrown SVOD streamer Salto for six months at no extra cost.

The Android box, the Bbox 4K HDR, is available to the group’s Bbox Ultym Fibre customers couple with its existing Bbox Fibre WiFi 6 router.

The WiFi-capable box includes a Bluetooth remote control, Google-enabled voice search and Dolby Digital audio.

The device includes integrated Chromecast and cloud-based recording with 100 hours of recording time made available to customers.

Bouygues is offering the device bundled with Salto free for up to three simultaneous users for six months, with the service available under the same terms for €6.99 a month thereafter.

The company said that the new box was a response to the needs of those who wished to benefit from the connectivity advantages of fibre alongside the performance of the best of WiFi throughout the home.

Bouygues is offering the Bbox 4K HDR for fibre customers for €28.99 a month.
