NBCUniversal has formalized what many other legacy TV and streaming media companies have been doing for their respective streaming services: Make NBCU's Peacock the next-day platform for legacy TV network program airings.
This will start with the upcoming 2022-2023 TV season beginning on September 19 -- for the NBC Television Network and Bravo -- offering NBCU's premium customers next-day access to current seasons of NBC and Bravo shows the day after they air on the networks.
In addition, beginning next month, new Peacock customers can sign up for Peacock's premium tier for just $1.99 per month, or $19.99 for an entire year.
Currently, Peacock has three subscriber options: Peacock Free, a free, limited program, ad-supported option; Peacock Premium, a limited-ad option with a $4.99 a month price; and an ad-free Peacock Premium Plus, at $9.99/month.
In July, with the completion of its sale of upfront TV ad inventory,NBCUniversal says, it inked $1 billion in national TV advertising commitments for the upcoming 2022-2023 TV season
Peacock's premium customers already had next-day access to some Bravo TV series including “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” “Below Deck,” and “Top Chef,” among many others.
