People who belong to poor households have the right to get free digital TV set top box assistance, how do you do that?Kominfo continues to strive so that the distribution of this free set top box can be accepted by the public before the deadline for Analog Switch Off (ASO), so that they can enjoy digital TV broadcasts.Considering that until now the distribution of set top boxes is still low, it means that there are still many who have not received the assistance."We want to speed up the distribution of set top boxes so that it can be completed soon," said the Director of Broadcasting of the Directorate General of Post and Information Technology (Ditjen PPI) of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics, Geryantika Kurnia in an online ASO socialization.Gery explained that based on the Ministry of Social's Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), there were 6.7 million poor households.They are targeted to receive the distribution of free digital TV set top boxes, of which 4.2 million units are sourced from multiplexing providers and 2.5 million units from the government.The criteria for receiving free set top box assistance are also continuously being deepened and updated by Kominfo.Most recently, Kominfo in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Local Governments is entitled to this assistance.With the latest criteria determined for the recipients of this free set top box, those who are entitled to this assistance are as follows:Kominfo stated that analog TV lethal injection no longer has a definite schedule such as three stages, in which the list of broadcast areas that are turned off is revealed.This is because the termination scheme uses the multiple ASO method.For information, Multiple ASO is the application of stopping analog TV broadcasting which is carried out continuously until the deadline for broadcasting migration on November 2, 2022.When digital TV broadcasts are implemented in an area, it will now refer to three main things.First in the area there is an analog TV broadcast that will be discontinued.Second, it has operated digital TV broadcasts on analog TV broadcast coverage as a replacement.Third, the distribution of free digital TV set top boxes for poor households in the area has been carried out.
