Many think that digital television broadcasts are paid for, internet, cable or satellite subscriptions, this mindset is wrong.Free digital TV broadcasts, free of charge, using a regular antenna.The transition of television from analog to digital makes analog TV users have to use additional tools to connect it to digital, namely the Set Top Box.Set Top Box is a broadcast signal capture tool.There are several types, namely DVB-T2, DVB-C, DVB-S, and DVB-IPTV.While in Indonesia using DVB-T2 to capture digital TV broadcasts.STB is a tool for converting digital signals into images and sound that can be displayed on ordinary analog TVs.This STB also supports digital video broadcasting -- second generation terrestrial (DVB-T2), the digital television standard in Indonesia.Based on the official website of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, every STB device circulating, assembled, and used in Indonesia must comply with technical requirements based on legislation.This is regulated in the regulation of the Minister of Communication and Informatics Number 4 of 2019, concerning Technical Requirements for Telecommunication Equipment and/or Equipment for the Need for Broadcast Television and Broadcast Radio.Digital TV will be implemented in all regions of Indonesia on November 2, 2022.
